Building Bridges Beyond Belief: Faith and Non-Faith Communities Working Together for Better Health

One Vision’s Chair of Trustees, Harjit Singh DL, and Founder & CEO, Enoch Kanagaraj BEM DL, were delighted to meet with Panos Fellas, Chair of Watford Area Humanists, to explore how faith and non-faith communities can work more closely together to improve health, wellbeing and community cohesion.

Through One Vision’s Faith and Health Networking Board, our message is simple: better health belongs to everyone.

Whether we are people of faith, humanists or people with no religious belief, we share many of the same values: compassion, dignity, equality, kindness and a desire to see our communities thrive.

Our discussion focused on how working together can help us reach people who may otherwise be overlooked, tackle health inequalities, reduce loneliness, support mental wellbeing and strengthen neighbourhood connections.

True partnership does not mean we have to agree on everything. It means respecting our differences while standing together for the common good.

We look forward to developing this relationship with Watford Area Humanists and creating practical opportunities for faith and non-faith communities to work side by side across Hertfordshire.

Thank you, Panos, for an open, positive and constructive conversation.

Different beliefs. Shared values. One community. Better health for all.
